News and Announcements
HAC had a stronger than usual presence at this year’s Swim Ontario Summer Festival Championships with sixteen swimmers in attendance. Five swimmers medalled this year bringing home nine medals – one gold, five silver and three bronze. This equalled last year’s tally but, encouragingly, was spread between more swimmers with so many other strong swims that came tantalizingly close to being rewarded with medals. It’s great to see that the hard work and dedication being put in by our swimmers and coaches is being rewarded with so many strong performances at the provincial level and this resulted in our highest points tally in years.

HAC swimmers produced some fantastic swimming in an array of events across all age groups at the Western Region Short Course Championships in London. There were countless PB’s, with many swimmers achieving new and additional Festival times. A special shout out to Lucas Blunsdon, Bruno Garb, Anna Hurnanen, Halayna Montrichard and Amy Tian who all made OYJ qualifying times. The team contribution was amazing with HAC coming in 5th in the boys overall points standing and 9th in the girls overall standing.
Lots of hardware made its way back to Hamilton with a combination of exciting, energy-sapping, nail-biting, heart-pounding, parent-aging and blow-the-field away finishes!
